“Did you make a joke that no one laughed at again?”

- My Mother, asking me about my day. I’d told her that my team didn’t think I was funny in confidence.

For me, becoming a copywriter meant playing the field. After studying Media & Communications at Catholic University, I discovered what didn’t work for me through a series of trial and error. I tried PR, community management, and even journalism—but it wasn’t until I stumbled upon copywriting that I knew I’d found “the one.”

Eight years later, I’ve written for dozens of brands through both agency and in-house positions. From KAYAK to Rent The Runway, SmartWool, BaubleBar, Mindbody, and more, I’ve learned how to craft content for a range of audiences across every platform you can imagine.

Career aside, here are some random facts about me that nobody asked for:

  • I’m *technically* a paid actress: Before moving back to DC after six years in Manhattan, I applied to be an extra in the recent Sex And The City reboot, And Just Like That. Catch me in season 2 episode 3 in a purple blazer outside the jewelry party.

  • I’m an Eagles fan: Born & raised just outside Philly, I’ve been a peripheral supporter since the fifth grade (which was the first time I ever saw the birds go to the Super Bowl). Just don’t ask me about their stats prior to the playoffs.

  • I’m a seamstress & former singer: I took 11 years of voice lessons, was a member of Thespian Troupe 1154, and was a first soprano in Redline A Capella. I also took six years of sewing lessons and designed my junior prom dress.

This page is dedicated to my late grandfather, Robert T. “Terrific” Butler. As a long-time advertising executive, “Busy Bob” was my inspiration for choosing a career in advertising and always supported my creative pursuits.
